Gaye was my sister. We had the same mother, and we were adopted as children, I found her and 1 more sister in December 2019. We talked almost everyday and I learned to love her. I hope her sons Dereck and Kurt were notified of her passing

Steve and I went to New Iberia soon after Wes & Gaye bought a home. They were so proud. We surprised them with a sack of oysters which Gaye loved so much. We had a great weekend visit.

Our favorite memory was the day Wes and Gaye got married. We were blessed with having the wedding in our home.
We had a very short timeframe, but we had all the fixings and a Justice of the Peace ready and waiting for the big day.
We’ll never forget the love, laughter, and happiness that filled the house that day. It will sustain us and bring us peace and comfort whenever we think of Gaye.
God bless,
Janeen and Denny Smith
