NEW IBERIA – Funeral Services will be conducted for Jeanne Ozenne Breaux Dinette, age 80, at 2:30 pm Thursday October 21, 2010 at Nativity of Our Lady Catholic Church with Fr. Ed Degeyter officiating. Gift bearers will be the granddaughters, Alyssa Gregory and Megan Musfeldt. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Wednesday with a Rosary at 7:00 pm. The funeral home will reopen at 8:00 am on Thursday until service time.
A native of Youngsville and resident of New Iberia, Mrs. (Breaux) Dinette passed away on Monday October 18, 2010 at her residence.
Mrs. (Breaux) Dinette was a member of Nativity of Our Lady Catholic Church and Nativity of Our Lady Alter Society. After her retirement from the clerical field, she volunteered as a Pink Lady at Dauterive Hospital. She had a green thumb and enjoyed growing african violets and various other plants. Jeanne will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph Dinette, Jr. of New Iberia; sons, Aristile “Johnny” Breaux, Jr. and wife Debbie of New Iberia and Steven Breaux and wife Robin of New Iberia; daughters, Kitty B. Blanchard and husband David of Brusly, Janie B. McCroskey and husband Gilbert of New Iberia, Antoinette “Net” B. Musfeldt and husband Brian of Arlington, TX, Carmen B. Gregory and husband Todd of New Iberia, Bernadette B. Brasseaux and husband Kenny of New Iberia, and Mary L. Theriot and husband Ricky of New Iberia; step-son, Wayne Dinette of Pensacola, FL; step-daughter, Patricia Dinette of Pensacola, FL; twenty-two grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; brother, Frank Falcon, Jr. of Lafayette; and sisters, Pearl O. Trosclair and husband Preston of Lafayette; Julia F. Breaux and husband Calice of Rayne; and Nazida F. Petitjean and husband T. J. of Rayne.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Aristle “A. J”. Breaux, Sr.; son, Paul Anthony Breaux; father, Preston Ozenne; mother, Julia Bourque Ozenne Falcon; and step-father, Frank Falcon, Sr.; brother, Clyde Falcon; sisters, Ruth F. Cavalier, Louetta F. Prevost, and Virginia F. Meyer.
Pallbearers will be grandsons Oran Theriot, Eddie Breaux, Aristle “Jay” Breaux, III, David Blanchard III, Bo McCroskey, and Ian Brasseaux.
Honorary pallbearers will be sons Aristile “Johnny” Breaux, Jr. and Steven Breaux, grandsons Adam Breaux, Alex Breaux, Andy Blanchard, Sam McCroskey, Nolan Brasseaux, and Paul Brasseaux.
