Joyce Carline Rebert

Visitation will be held from 2:30 pm until 8:00 pm on Sunday. The funeral home will reopen at 8:00 am on Monday until 10:00 am. Grave side services will immediately follow at Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Edward Starks speaking.

A native of Bayou Benoit and resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Rebert passed away at 5:40 pm on Thursday, September 29, 2016 at Landmark of Acadiana Nursing Home.

Born on July 11, 1940 to the late Emmette Sr. and Carnelia Carline, Joyce was one of seven children. Joyce was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Family was the most important thing in her life. She was a homemaker and dedicated her time and attention to raising her eleven children, being a grandmother to twenty-one grandchildren, and a great grandmother to eleven great grandchildren. Joyce enjoyed her time at Landmark of Acadiana Nursing Home and liked to play bingo as well as partake in their many other activities. She will be truly and deeply missed by all those who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her ten children, Vickie Derouen of Loreauville, Trudy Bienvenu and husband Baron of St. Martinville, Bridget Wempren and husband Carl, Sr. of New Iberia, Tammy Breaux and husband Toby of Murfressboro, TN, Michelle Rebert of New Iberia, Michael Rebert of New Iberia, Jamie Rebert and wife Jennifer Colomb Rebert of Abbeville, Lawanda Thibeaux and husband Jason of Youngsville, Faith Rebert of New Iberia, and Casey Rebert and wife Merliza Villamor Rebert of Woodbury, TN; grandchildren, Jaclyn Alleman, Danny Migues and wife Kellie Bienvenu Migues, Guy Migues and wife Jamie Menard Migues, Drew Migues and wife Johanna Fontenot Migues, Melissa Cordon and husband Will Cordon, Marci Rivet, Johnny Alleman, Carl Wempren, Jr., Hannah Breaux, Meghan Bice and husband Jacob, Theresa Rebert, Joseph Rebert, Isabella Rebert, Abby Thibeaux, Emma Thibeaux, Rylie Thibeaux, Aidan Rebert, Alyssa Rebert, and Bailey Alleman; great grandchildren, Jayce Migues, Kaydance Migues, Ali Romero, Katelyn Romero, Jaylen Romero, Alex Segura, Mollie Cordon, London Segura, Alexis Alleman, Chloe Alleman; brother, Ralph Carline of New Iberia; and sister, Jeanette Wisdom of St. Martinville.

She was preceded in death by her husband of Herman J. Rebert, Sr. of forty-two years; son, Herman J. Rebert, Jr.; grandsons, Joshua Alleman and Jacob Migues; parents, Emmette Sr. and Carnelia Carline; sister, Julia Pointer; and brothers, Roy Carline, Ronnie Carline, Emmette Carline, Jr.

Pallbearers will be Carl Wempren, Jr., Johnny Alleman, Danny Migues, Jason Thibeaux, Casey Rebert, Toby Breaux, Guy Migues, and Drew Migues.

Honorary pallbearers will be Carl Wempren, Sr., Joseph Rebert, and Will Cordon.
