Julius was born January 18, 1932 to the late Joseph and Dola Landry Badeaux. He was a man of simple values and made the best of everything around him. He has always been a hard worker and took great pride in all that he did. He drove trucks with many companies in the Acadiana area, but most will remember him from the 30 years he spent with Robertson Tank Line. When not working, Julius kept busy with hobbies and pastimes. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and took advantage of the beauty of the outdoors. He enjoyed woodworking, listening to Cajun and French music, trips to the casino, and relaxing at home with a dip of tobacco. Above all, his greatest love was for his family. They will miss his jokester ways and fun times visiting, but his memory will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his children, Eva Blair Menard (Ronald), Kerry Strawn (Patrick), Cagal Badeaux, Cornel Badeaux, Oladee Badeaux (Byron Hill), Trenda Badeaux and Karen Mae Adams (his caretaker and whom he looked upon as his own daughter); his grandchildren, Amber Hill, Kristian Suire, Brody Chevalon, Morgan Romero, Ahnaya Courville, Ashley Badeaux, Cierra Badeaux, Star Delcambre, Joey Bourque, Daniel Manes, Danielle Manes, Kendal Menard, Felicia Menard, Kayla Hollis, Martin Johnson, Kristy Johnson and Halyee Thibodeaux; and 27 great grandchildren with 2 expected soon.
Julius’ oldest daughter, Donna Johnson, survived him but passed away just one day after him on July 1, 2020. He is also preceded in death by his grandson, Brett Castille; and his siblings, Ida Howell, Joyce Badeaux and Ronald Badeaux.
Please keep the Badeaux family in your prayers as they lay their father and sister to rest.
