Kenneth Lee Eskine, age 66, of New Iberia, Louisiana, passed away peacefully at his residence on Tuesday, January 14, 2025. He was born on October 28, 1958, in Iberia Parish to the late Wilbert and Rita Migues Eskine, Sr.
Kenneth lived a life marked by hard work and dedication. He worked as a boat captain in the oilfield industry for many years, a career that took him around the globe, providing for his loved ones and taking pride in the work he did. He enjoyed the camaraderie and adventure that came with his travels.
As he entered the later years of his life, Kenneth embraced his simpler joys, often spending his days at the casino and savoring the flavors of his favorite comfort food—Popeye's fried chicken.
In keeping with his wishes, a private memorial service will be held at a later date.
He is survived by his three daughters, Brena Eskine Romero and Harris; Sarah Eskine Champagne and Travis and Marisa Eskine; three grandchildren, Trent Michael “Bug” Romero, II, Travis Blaine “TJ” Champagne, Jr. and Hadley Cynthia Champagne; three sisters, Donna Eskine, Linda Rivers and Joanna Oubre and Charles and four brothers, Wilbert Eskine, Jr. and Lois; Johnny Eskine and Ramona; Glenn Eskine and Donna and Lynn Eskine.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Cindy Dye Eskine, and one brother, Clyde Eskine.
