Lorena Segura Williams

NEW IBERIA – Funeral services will be celebrated for Lorena Segura Hall Williams at 10:00 am Saturday, September 9, 2017 at Evangeline Funeral Home. Fr. Bill John Melancon will officiate. Mrs. Williams will be laid to rest at Memorial Park Mausoleum.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at Evangeline Funeral Home on Friday from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm, with the Rosary being led by the Catholic Daughters Court Blessed Mother Theresa. Visiting hours will resume on Saturday from 8:00 am until time of services.

Lorena was born November 12, 1930 in New Iberia to the late Norris Segura and Ernestine Peltier Segura, and passed away peacefully Monday, September 4, 2017 at the Carpenter House in Lafayette surrounded by her loving family.

Lorena was a homemaker devoted to the love and care of her family, and cherished the time spent with them. She was most proud of her legacy of over 50 grandchildren. Lorena was also known for her kindness and became a friend to anyone she met. She leaves behind many fond memories for all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her children, Vickie Hall, Trudy Lopez and Bob, Deborah Scoggin and Jack, Tina Warnock and Bob, Ramona Alleman and Jerry, and George Williams and Dawn; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her 1st husband, Douglas Hall; 2nd husband, Walter Williams, Sr.; her three sons, Douglas “Buddy” Hall, Daniel Williams and Walter Williams, Jr.; a sister, Lillian Huval; and a brother, Norris “Red” Segura,

Serving as pallbearers are Beau LeBlanc, George Williams, DJ Williams, Colby Williams, Cody Lopez, Chaz Lopez, Lawrence E. Warnock, II and Andrew Warnock.
