Louise was born September 13, 1919 in Iberia Parish to the late Felix Boudreaux and Elia Derouen Boudreaux and was one of five children. In her early years, she worked outside the home in various jobs, but took on the most important role she could ask for....being a wife and mother. And did she ever excel at everything she did. Her children bragged on how great of a cook and baker she was. Hands down, she baked the best pecan cakes, gooey cookies and fruit cakes, and without a doubt the ultimate stuffed crabs anywhere. Amazingly, she was still baking up until her 97th birthday and made sure that her family and many friends received those goodies.
When not baking, she found joy in taking care of her yard and cut and edged her own grass. Some of her other pastimes were crocheting and sewing. Above all, her love of God and family was greatest to her. She leaves a legacy of faith, friendship and compassion that will live on in the hearts of those that loved her so dearly. Rest well Louise for you have earned your heavenly reward.
Louise is survived by her children, Oliver Albert, Jr., Rita Joyce Albert Toucheque Henry, Sandra Albert Boudreaux and Perry Albert (Sandra); 13 grandchildren, Cody Albert, Faith Hixson, Mary Broussard, Joseph Toucheque, Jr., Annick Barras, Linda Vice, Sarah Thompson, Christine Jones, Angela Bergeron, Tiffany Buteaux, Nicole Boudreaux, Tyra Short and Dylan Albert; 24 great grandchildren; 15 great great grandchildren; and one great great great grandchild (six beautiful generations) and her brother Johnny Paul Boudreaux.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Oliver Albert, Sr.; a daughter-in-law, Patsy Albert; 3 sons-in-law, Joseph Toucheque, Albert Henry and Robert "Bobby" Boudreaux; a grandson, Oliver Jude Albert; a great great granddaughter, Desiree Rose Trahan; and her siblings, Preston Boudreaux, Sr., Ella Lavergne and Adam "JC" Boudreaux.
Funeral services celebrating the life of Louise will be held 2:00 pm on Thursday July 23, 2020 at Evangeline Funeral Home with Fr. Garret Savoie officiating. Visiting hours will be held that morning from 10:00 am until time of services, with the Mens Rosary Group leading the rosary at 1:00 pm.
Serving as pallbearers are Perry Albert, Joseph Toucheque, Jr., Cody Albert, Camden Tyler, Dylan Albert and Kevin Zachery Buteaux. Honorary pallbearers are Olvier Albert, Jr. and Johnny Boudreaux, Kevin Francis Buteaux.
Memorial contributions may be made in Louise's name to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital.
