Noland James Porier

NEW IBERIA – Funeral Services will be conducted for Noland James Porier, age 51, at 11:00 am Monday, February 24, 2014 at Evangeline Funeral Home with Deacon Theo Landry officiating. Interment will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until 7:00 pm on Sunday with a Rosary at 5:00 pm. The funeral home will reopen at 8:00 am on Monday until service time.

A native and resident of New Iberia, Noland passed away at 6:50 pm on Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at his residence.

Noland worked in the oilfield industry for the last 30 years, most recently as a Supervisor for Alternative Well Intervention. He enjoyed spending time outdoors; being at the camp cooking, boat riding, fishing and deer hunting. His true love was being surrounded by his family and friends. He was an avid New Orleans Saints fan.

Noland is survived by his children, Keisha Saenz and Miguel; Nolan Bonin and Shauna all of New Iberia; Ashley Bourque and Tab of Ball, LA; Drew Viator and Brooke and Tony Porier all of Anacoco; Allie Park and Jackie of Twenty Nine Palms, CA and Trent Schexnayder of Cecilia; eleven grandchildren, Makenzi Romero, Valerie Romero, Miguel Saenz, Lane Estis, Colan Vallejo, Londyn Bonin and Lakelyn Bonin all of New Iberia; Kyle Park of Twenty Nine Palms, CA; James Todd Bourque of Ball, LA; Alexis Lee Weise and Jazlynn Sienna Viator both of Anacoco, LA.

He is also survived by his companion, Catherine Conrad of New Iberia; three brothers, Alton Porier and Pauline; Brent Porier and Roseline and Patrick “Dale” Hebert all of New Iberia and one sister, Crystal Porier Dufrene and husband LJ.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alton Joseph Porier, Sr. and Janet Hebert Porier; granddaughter, Aleyah Rayne park; one brother, Tony Porier and his grandparents, Numa Porier; Clothilde Porier; Olita Gary and Walter Hebert, Sr.

Pallbearers will be Tony Porier, Drew Viator, Nolan Bonin, Trent Schexnayder, LJ Dufrene and Kenneth Arnaud.
