Norman Joseph Boutte, Jr. passed away Thursday, September 15 in the tranquility and peacefulness at his hunting camp in Whiskey Bay. At his passing he was 77.
Norman was born January 21, 1945 in Seymour, Indiana to the late Norman J. Boutte, Sr. and the late Betty Grein Boutte and was one of six sons born to that union. He worked most of his life in oilfield related industries, most notably Teledyne Movable and Gilchrist Construction.
Outside of his work, he enjoyed the beauty and peace of the outdoors and spent a great deal of time at his hunting camp on Whiskey Bay where he hunted and fished.
Norman will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him. May his soul rest in peace.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 52 years, Marie Migues Boutte; his son, Jason Boutte; five grandchildren, Jason, Jaselin, Laythan, Jayvan and Jaython; his brothers, Gary Boutte (Brenda), Lynn Boutte, David Boutte (Marnette) and Ron Boutte (Saul); his niece and birthday buddy, Becky Landry, whom he share his birthday with; and his faithful and loving dog, Buddy, who gave him many years of companionship.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Dennis Boutte.
In keeping with Norman’s wishes, private services will be held and he will be laid to rest with his parents at Memorial Park Cemetery in New Iberia.
Memorial donations may be made in Norman’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, or to your local Animal Shelter.
