Tammy LeBlanc Galtier, a devoted and loving wife, mother, Mimi, sister and friend to all passed away peacefully Monday, October 11, 2021. At her passing she was 59.

Tammy was born September 9, 1962 in New Iberia to the late Murvin LeBlanc and the late Lilly Landry LeBlanc and was one of six daughters born to that union.

Scotty and Paige spoke of Tammy and her absolute love for her family. She centered herself with them and celebrated each moment. They reminisced about the many camping trips taken. As they spoke of her love for the outdoors and camping, laughs and smiles were shared. Her sister Linda shared how Tammy loved to make bonfires when camping, and Scotty laughed as he spoke of her love for fishing. At the slightest mention of fishing, Tammy was ready. She would wet a line anywhere and never got tired of being on the water.

Paiges’s fondest memories of her mom was of the friendship they shared. Tammy was right by her side when Isabelle was born and it was the best day of Paige’s life. Tammy loved being a Mimi to Isabelle and spoiled her with love and anything else she wanted. They all agreed that Tammy’s cooking was the best. Her gumbo’s, whether shrimp with boiled eggs or chicken and sausage, were the best.

Above all, Tammy’s greatest love was just being in the presence of her beautiful family. They brought her the greatest joy, smiles and laughs. Her smile and fun loving spirit will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 36 years, Scotty J. Galtier; her daughter and best friend, Paige E. Galtier; the best Mimi ever to Isabelle Faith Touchet; and a fun loving sister to Linda Hebert, Arlene Myers (Buddy), Lavonne Langla (Calvin) and Jo Ellen Louviere (Brad); and numerous nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Verdy Anne Pitre.
