Barbara Mae Maynard

She was born on May 17, 1930 to Raymond and Florence (Young) Gallup of Moosup, CT. She was married to H. Laurence Maynard of Voluntown, CT on April 3, 1948. They had four children and lived on Ekonk Hill in Voluntown until 1969 when they moved to Niantic,

She was an employee of Seaside Regional Center in Waterford, CT where she was the Supervisor of the Housekeeping Dept.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 2009, her parents, two brothers and two sisters.

She is survived by one sister Ruth (Gallup) Paine of Plainfield, CT and one brother Russell Gallup of Putnam, CT. Her children, Laurence H. Maynard of Sylvan Grove, KS., Rev. Wanda (John Dudek) of Lebanon, CT., Rev. Sheila (Patrick) Williamson of Bloomer, WI., and Deanna “Dee” (Bill Shallcross, Fiancé) Kneeland of New London, CT, also 9 grandchildren, 22 Great Grandchildren and 3 Great Great Grandchildren.

A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at 11:00am in Fulton-Theroux Funeral Home, 181 Ocean Ave., New London, CT 06320. A Visiting Hour will be held one prior to the service from 10:00 until 11:00 in the funeral home. A Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Lyme at the convenience of the family.
