

She was born at home in Gardiner Maine November 4th 1911, the daughter of Ward Sumner Marrow & Eugenia (Bradstreet) Marrow. From Maine they traveled to this region in the early 1950’s to establish their home and TV repair business. Irene graduated from Gardiner High School in June of 1929. She was later employed by the “Commonwealth Shoe & Leather Company” in Gardiner, Maine as their lead secretary and office manager; she was very proficient in longhand and speed typing.
Irene married Kenneth E Harlow August 27th 1934, she was predeceased by him, her brother Gayland W. Marrow and granddaughter Caroline R. Harlow. Her life was sincerely dedicated to her husband and sole son Keith Eugene Harlow Sr. of Waterford, Irene delighted in sewing, crocheting, knitting, gardening and bird watching and was a wonderful cook. She was an active Member and Treasurer of the Christian Widows Fellowship, and was a past member and treasurer of the Cohanzie club; she also attended the Waterford First Baptist Church.
Irene is survive by her Son Keith Harlow Sr. and his wife Geraldine R. Harlow; grandchildren, Dennis Harlow, Brenda Adamson, Laurie King, Rebecca Harlow, Keith Harlow Jr., all of Waterford. She was also blessed with the following great grandchildren: Brian Adamson, Karalyn Harlow, Maxine Adamson, Joshua Harlow, Samantha King, and Finbar Harlow.
The family wanted to thank the Staff at Greentree Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation Center for their excellent care and kind ways.
Interment will be private and Fulton-Theroux Funeral, New London is in charge of arrangements.
