This is the first time I learned Lin Li passed away. He will always be such a wonderful person and painter. At USF he was a brilliant addition to the MFA and so loved. Li also loved his family so much.  We had a wonderful dinner with his mother and him in Tampa. I always hoped he and Zhai would come live in Brooklyn. I am grateful we visited Guilin and Yangshuo together. RIP dear dear friend.

Dearest Zhai & family,
Your beloved Lin was such a very special man who will live on in your hearts forever.  I am deeply saddened to hear of Lin's passing too soon.
I knew Lin a short time as my very competent, patient art teacher but for all time I will remember his strong spirit, his kindness, and his gentle soul.
May memories of his strength & love be yours as you journey forward.  He WILL live on in your hearts forever.  May his love light comfort you always.
