Nina was born in Presque Isle, Maine on May 14, 1947, the daughter of Roy and Marie Jewell.
Nina leaves behind her two sons, Joshua Jewell and Justin Sanders; grandson, Jackson Sanders and sister, Sherri Sisk.
Nina has been employed as a home health aide, caregiver, receptionist and in her younger years, a clothing stylist.
Nina was a longtime member of the New London Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She had a deep love and trust in Jehovah God, and the Bible’s promise of a future earthly paradise was near and dear to her heart.
Her best friend, Brenda Moon, wanted to share the following thoughts... “Even though Nina and I were so different in so many ways, we loved many of the same things. We both loved Jehovah. We both loved playing the game ‘Upwards’ for hours. We could never drive by a yard sale. We loved eating at The Shack. Our road trips were the best! We always knew we’d have an adventure, because we knew we would get lost. We would laugh and say, “As long as it’s not dark, we’ll find our way.” ...and we did! Whether it was Vermont, Maine, Maryland or Idaho, we loved being together! I will truly miss my best friend. I look forward to seeing her again in the New World to come.”
Many fondly remember Nina for her generosity. She was a caring and giving person, always ready to help. Please remember her for her fun-loving, outgoing and sometimes spicy spirit. She would want us all to “Keep Smilin’”.
