Mrs. Audrey Marlyn Battistella Dennies

Audrey Battistella Dennies passed away on Wednesday, November l7 at the age of 74. She was a resident of Gretna for over 40 years and most recently lived in Mandeville. She was the beloved daughter of the late Martha and Louis Battistella of Empire and New Orleans. She was also preceded in death by her grandparents: Arthur and Rose Battistella and Anthony and Mary V. Jurisich. Audrey is survived by her devoted husband, Edwin Dennies; and two sons: Michael K. Dennies and his wife Jennifer , and Kenneth L. Dennies and two grandchildren: Jenson B. and Jaymi K. Dennies. Her brother, Arthur(Chuck) Battistella and wife Diana L. nephew Rion Louis and wife Laura. Audrey had great affection for her aunts and her cousins, with whom she enjoyed a true kinship with through the years. Audrey loved music and faithfully served with the St. Patrick Church Choir in New Orleans for several years and briefly with Our Lady of the Lake Choir in Mandeville. Her quiet presence will be missed by all who knew her. Relatives and friend are invited to attend the funeral services at Jacob Schoen and Son 3827 Canal St. on Monday November 22, Visitation will be from 9:00 to 12:00 followed by a Mass at 12:00 noon. Internment will follow at St. Louis Cemetery #3. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her Memory to St. Joseph Hospice Foundation.
