Mr. Juan H Carreras Jr.

Juan H. Carreras, Jr. age 88, passed away Sunday, April 17, 2011 at his home. Juan was a native of New Orleans, a Navy veteran during WWII and retired as a purchasing agent with Avondale Ship Yard. He was preceded in death by his parents Juan H. Carreras, Sr., Flavia Crowley Carreras and his sister, Marie Louise Carreras Giardina. Juan is survived by his beloved wife, Ruth Blust Carreras, step-father to Anthony J. (Patricia) Cash III, Mary Cash (Brian)Lukas and Michael M. (Diane) Cash, DDS, grandfather to Juli Cash Schroeder, Michelle Cash Dominique, Anthony James Cash, Jeffrey Lukas, Jessica Lukas Constant, Brianne, Michael and Patricia Cash. Also survived by his great grandchildren, Ethan and Alex Schoreder, Rene and Shea Dominique, Uncle of Jerry and Michael Giardina and Lori Giardina Hogan and numerous family members . Family and friends are invited to the visitation Wednesday, April 20th beginning at 11:00 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 1:00PM from Jacob Schoen and Son Funeral Home, 3827 Canal Street.
