June Mable Richard

June Mable Henry Richard passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, September 10, 2011 at the age of 84. She was born in Bogalusa, Louisiana on March 16, 1927. She was the beloved wife of Carlton J. Richard for 64 years. She was the loving mother of Susan R. Hattier wife of Edwin S. Hattier III, Linda R. Prall wife of Rich James Prall, and Alice R. Serpas wife of Michael J. Serpas, grandmother to Katie S. Hattier, Megan A. Hattier, Anna G. Hattier, Heidi L. Serpas, Cody Prall and Diane Prall. She was one of three children of the late Arthur and Edith Deen Henry. She was preceded in death by her brothers, William and Charles Henry.

She loved poetry and often wrote “Odes” to and for family and friends. She always put people at ease and was sweet and uncomplaining till the end.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass to be celebrated in the Chapel of Jacob Schoen and Son Funeral Home, 3827 Canal Street, New Orleans on Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. with visitation at the funeral home beginning at 9:00 A.M.
