Lorraine Louise Paquay Barbin, born November 27, 1920 at 839 Bourbon St. Passed away at the age of 91. She was the faithful and devoted wife of the late Jerome J. Barbin Sr., daughter of the late Alice Ulmo Paquay and Professor Jean Paquay, sister of the late John Paquay, Shirley Meyer and Hubertine Derder. Sister-in-law of the late Irene Barbin Smith. Close family friend of Belle Hardin Gilbo and John Gilbo. Beloved mother of Jerome “Jerry” Barbin Jr., the late Belle A. Barbin. Mother-in-law of the late Cynthia (Cindy) Barbin. Treasured grandmother of Rainey (Mike), Jerry (Frances), Anthony Sr. (Dorene), Patrick (Janie), Crystal (Daniel) and Christine. Great grandmother of Stevi Lutyhe, Jerry and Elizabeth, Anthony, Jr., Jared, Shannon, Jennifer, Julia, Kevin, Hailey, Kayden. Parishioner of St. Maria Goretti Church. She leaves behind a host of friends and family, she truly loved her family. She enjoyed going to the casino and the bus trips there and her church. Devoted follower of Padre Pio. We would like to thank Ferncrest and St. Margaret Mary Hospice.

Family and friends, Orleans Parish Sheriff’s Department, Orleans Parish Criminal Court, employees of the Former Maison Blanche and employees of the City of Kenner are invited to attend the visitation beginning at 9:00 AM with a Funeral Mass in the chapel at Jacob Schoen and Son Funeral Home on Thursday, September 22nd at 1:00 pm.
