Marcelle Claire Adams

ADAMS – Marcelle Duffel Adams passed away on August 3, 2011 at the age of 85. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 64 years Louis P. Adams, Jr. Better known as “Precious” to her family and friends she is preceded in death by her father Oscar F. Duffel and mother Marcelle I. Raymond, who both died at a young age; raised by her grandparents Alice E. Raymond and Arthur P. Raymond founder of the Church Supply House in 1930. She is also preceded in death by her brother Oscar J. Duffel, and is survived by her brother Arthur P. Duffel. Survived by her sons Louis P. Adams III (Janell) and Stephen G. Adams (Jean). Grandchildren: Angela A. Hymel, Louis E. Adams, Zachary Adams, Nathan Adams and Taylor Adams and 4 great grandchildren. Born and raised in New Orleans and was a long time parishioner of St. Raphael Parish; a graduate of St. Joseph High School and a dedicated wife and homemaker. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend funeral services on Saturday, August 6, 2011 at 1:00 PM at Schoen Funeral Home, 3827 Canal Street, New Orleans, LA with visitation from 9:00am until time of services. Interment will follow at St. Louis #3 Cemetery.
