Mildred Mary Gex

Mildred Metoyer Gex passed on Saturday March 16, 2013 at the age of 88. She was preceded in death by both parents, 5 sisters and 5 brothers, and her husband Benjamin J. Gex Jr. Millie (as everyone called her) is mother to Sharyn Gex LaFonta and Benjamin J. Gex 3rd, mother-in-law to Alden LaFonta and Madeline Aubert Gex, grandmother to Damian LaFonta (wife Jeannine), Jaime LaFonta Boudreaux ( husband Kevin), and Benjamin J. Gex 4th. She is great-grandmother to Scarlett Conde and Jake Boudreaux. Though her family was native to Natchitoches, Millie was born and raised in N.O. and was currently a resident of Harvey. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews and in-laws.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church, 3368 Esplanade Ave. on Monday, March 25, 2013 at 10:30 am. Visitation is from 9:30 to 10:30, followed by the Mass. Interment will be in St. Louis #3 Cemetery.
