William Norris Quick Jr.

William Quick, Jr., a native of New Orleans, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, January 10, 2012. Beloved husband of 70 years to Maxine Quick, father of Cindee and Jerry Quick and the late Patricia Hanzo. Grandfather of Kevin Hanzo, great grandfather of Monica and Jessica Hanzo. Also survived by son-in-law, Gerald Hanzo and daughter-in-law, Linda Quick. Son of the late William and Cecile Quick, brother of Arthur Quick and the late Henry Quick and Mildred George.

Bill proudly served his country as a Master Tech Sergeant in the United States Marine Corp in WWII. He was a lifelong employee and retiree of the Times Picayune and a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Chalmette.

Bill will be remembered by family and friends alike in his desire to share the fruits of his labors. In no other place was that gift more realized than at the fish camp on Lake Catherine. He has left all with lasting, cherished memories of crab boils, good times and togetherness. He will be sorely missed by so many.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral services at Jacob Schoen and Son Funeral Home, 3827 Canal Street on Friday, January 13, 2012 at 1:00 P.M.
