Gwendoylen (Gwen) L. (Bickford) Green born February 7, 1942 went to be with the Lord September 28th 2018. She was born at Splitlog, Missouri. She spent her early years at Cassville, Missouri. After the second grade the family moved back and forth between Missouri and Colorado. The family moved to Campo, Colorado, and then moved to Springfield Colorado where she started the fourth grade and finally settled in Rocky Ford, Colorado in 1959.
She met her partner in life Delbert (Deb) Green at Rocky Ford, Colorado and married at Trinidad, Colorado March 18, 1969 and shortly thereafter they moved with their children to Idaho and settled at New Plymouth, Idaho March of 1975 after a short time in Meridian.
She worked at a variety of different jobs until 1980 when she began the work she felt the Lord had called her to do helping those families and individuals with support and a helping hand so they could make changes to improve their situation.
She loved family gatherings, was honored to have beautiful, loving and caring grandchildren and children.
She enjoyed reading the Bible, Biblical history, reading non-fiction, history research, spending time with the grandchildren, family gatherings, and quiet time with her husband, researching family history and special relationships with her siblings.
She is survived by her husband Delbert G. Green, daughters Shari Kettering of New Plymouth, Idaho Kellie/Tye Thomas of Emmett, Idaho and a son Forrest/Mylissa Green of McCall, Idaho and a biological son John Kevin Jones of New York, New York. 24 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren. Three daughters Leslie Johnson-Westmoreland of Haskell, Ok. Gwenie Sellers of Boise, Idaho and Naomi Tucker of Caldwell, Idaho. Three brothers Lyn Bickford of New Plymouth, Idaho, Rodney Bickford of McGregor, Texas, Ira (Bud) Bickford of Brigham, Utah and four sisters Wanda McCanless of Rocky Ford, Colo., Judy Carroll of Pueblo, Colo., Linda Kielman of Troy, Texas and Billie Kussman of Alamosa Colo.
She was preceded in death by her Mother Naomi Inez Patrick, Dad Danny Lee Patrick, biological father Ira Jeff Bickford, 3 sons Delbert Gene Green Jr, Michael Green, Marvin Green, and a grandson Delbert James Green, a very special friend Sherry Hendricks, maternal and paternal grandparents.
A celebration of life will be between 1:00 pm & 4:00 pm October 13th 2018 at the home of Delbert Green 5125 SE 3rd Ave New Plymouth Idaho. Come celebrate and share your stories of our Mother.
