
Charles F. Jarnigan, age 80, of New Tazewell, TN. was born April 22, 1935, passed away July 31, 2015 at his home. He previously was a member and deacon of Ypsilanti Missionary Baptist Church and presently was a member and deacon of Young’s Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. He has worked at White Pine Stone Company in White Pine, TN and retired from Ford Motor Company in Rawsonville, MI after 32 years. He was a veteran of the US Army. He was preceded in death by his parents, Will and Cecil Jarnigan; son, Gregory Jarnigan; brother, Johnnie Jarnigan and infant sister, Dolly Mae Jarnigan. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Louise Taylor Jarnigan of New Tazewell, TN; grandchildren, Brandy Jarnigan, Michelle (Danny) Smith and Dalton Jarnigan; great grandchildren, Linda, Vince and Shaun of Thorn Hill, TN; brothers, James Jarnigan, Roy (Imogene) Jarnigan, Bryant Henry (Polly) Jarnigan, Jerry Jarnigan; sisters, Kay Williams, Mary Baker and Pauline (Ray)Woolridge. The family will receive friends from 5-9 PM Sunday, August 2, 2015 at Coffey Funeral Home in New Tazewell. Funeral Service will be held at 10:00AM Monday, August 3, 2015 at the Coffey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Travis Singleton, Rev. Shane Sanefeur and Rev. Sam Coffey officiating. The body will lie-in-state for 30 minutes before service. Singers will be the Young’s Chapel Church and Wayne Carpenter. Burial will follow in the Ray Taylor Memorial Cemetery at Raven Hill with Military Honors. Coffey Funeral Home in charge.
