Known for his good humor and easygoing nature, Clyde brought light wherever he went. Often whistling and always smiling, he was a big kid at heart. Clyde was easy to love. And he will forever be missed.
Clyde was born in Kentucky and spent much of his working years in Fort Wayne, Indiana. In retirement, he drove a school bus in East Tennessee that he called, “the orange blossom special.” He enjoyed “loafering around” in his red truck and taking long camping trips all over the country to admire landscapes and wildlife.
Clyde is preceded in death by his siblings Kermit, Hobert, Lorene and nephew Ronnie Dill.
He leaves behind his wife of 31 years, Vetris, and children Pamela, Velma, Tammy, Clyde Jr., and Jack, as well as his grandchildren. He also leaves behind siblings Lottie, Hugh, Lloyd and Virgil.
The family will receive friends on Saturday October 11, 2025 from 2 until 3 PM at Coffey Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 3 PM in the Coffey Funeral Home chapel. A graveside service will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
