Darse Lee Wilder

Darse Lee Wilder, age 72 of Orleans, IN went home to be with the Lord on Monday, April 25, 2016. He was born October 13, 1943 at Pine Mountain Settlement School Infirmary, Bledsoe, Kentucky to Darse Millard and Nancy Carol (Boggs) Wilder who both preceded him in death. He was saved as a teenager and rededicated his life to Christ in 2003. Lee was raised in the mountains of Eastern Kentucky to age 16 when his family moved to Salem, IN. He was an entrepreneur throughout his life with diversified employment which included trucking, operating a grain elevator, logging, land development and log home building.

Lee is survived by his wife of six years: Nancy (Buis) Cole Wilder He is also survived by his precious daughter, Vickie Carol (Carl Edward) Lincks and former wife, LaVon Dorton of Paoli, IN; step-children are Teresa (Robert) Lorraine of Brooklyn MI, LeeWayne (Julia) Cole of Crossville, TN, Jerry (Lindsay) Cole of New Tazewell, TN. Daniel Cole and fiance’ Christy Cook of Sharps Chapel, TN, Savannah (Matt) Brogan of New Tazewell, Tn; step grandchildren are Zachary Lorraine, Kaysee (Josh) Squire, Emmalee (Jeremy) Cole, Lindsey Vanover, Jenissy and Jordan Hamlin, Johnathon Brogan, Sophie Cole, Skylar Cook and Avalynn Cook; special mother-in-law is Cora (Granny) Buis of New Tazewell, TN; brothers-in-law John L. (Diane) Buis of Lakeland, FL and Fred Buis of New Tazewell, TN; step nephews, John Cameron Buis, Fred Buis and John Buis and several great nephews and nieces.

Special “adopted” grandchildren are Laura, Sarah and Rebekah Deuber of Palmyra, IN, Samantha and Cassidy Morron of Orleans, IN and Emery Shetler of Mitchell, IN.

The family would like to thank neighbors and the wonderful nursing staff at Paoli and Bloomington (IU Health) Hospitals along with the Hospice House of Bloomington, IN for their compassion and care. Special thanks also to Dr. Matthew Main, Candace, Jessie and Charlotte at Paoli, IN.

Service will be by Rev. Toby Dykes and music will be provided by Savannah Brogan. Pallbearers are Bruce Dorton, Mark Morron, Henry Shetler, Dennis Myers, Johnathon Brogan and Terry Wagner.
