David S Crigger

David S. Crigger age 78 of New Tazewell, TN, was born March 29, 1939 and went to be with his Lord on January 29, 2018. David was a member of Dogwood Heights Baptist Church. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. David was a veteran of the 82nd Airborne. He was also a 32nd Degree Mason and past Master of the Masonic Lodge Evening Star 180. David was a past Worthy Patron of Tazewell 232 Eastern Star. He liked to stay busy, and enjoyed gardening as well as working on older vehicles. He loved his Monday morning senior bowling league. David was an over the road truck driver for almost forty years before he retired. He loved his dogs Rosie and Roxie. David is preceded in death by parents Richard Stanley Crigger and Rose Roberts Brotherton. Daughter Karen Lynn Crigger. Grandchildren Crystal and Hank Bush.

David is survived by his wife of sixty-one years Shirley Crigger. Daughters Sharon Crigger, Cathy Partin, and Susan McDonald. Ten grandchildren Jennifer, Charles, C.W., Josh, Sarah, Jimmie, James, Jeremy, Michael and Angel. Twelve great grandchildren. Sisters Carol Thomas and Margie Bagosy. Half sister Barbara Jean. Half brothers Richard and Chuck Crigger. As well as a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends. The family will receive friends Thursday February 1st from 5 until 7 PM at Coffey Funeral Home. A Masonic service and a funeral service will follow starting at 7 PM in the Coffey Funeral Home chapel. David will be laid to rest on Friday February 2nd at 11 AM in Green Hills Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Middlesboro, KY. Minister: Rev. Travis Pressnell; Singer: Janice Derreberry
