Elbert "Ebb" Debusk age 89 years and 10 months of of Tazewell, Tn was born May 1, 1936 and went home to be with His Lord on February 27, 2026. He was saved at an early age and later joined Blairs Creek Missionary Baptist Church in 1974 and was baptized May 1975 on Mothers Day. He was a Deacon and song leader for Blairs Creek for many years. He was a solid rock of the church and was never late. He loved his family, church and all his friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Bertha Lee DeBusk; his brother, George McDowell and his nephew Ethan Newsome.
He is survived by his loving wife of 70 years: Lyllus DeBusk;
Sister: Statia Mcdowell; Nieces and Nephew: Vicki (Barry) Reed,
Jill (Mark) Newsome, Clyde (Kelly) McDowell.
Great Nieces and Nephews: Kacey (Zach) Erbaugh; Zachary Chumley (Lindsey Ramsey): Kelsey McDowell, Allee McDowell, Josilyn McDowell, Bonus Great Nieces McKenna Monger, Brittney Poupard (Derek) Robison ; Great Great Nephew Zeplyn Klyde Treece; Great Great Niece Charley Robison; many cousins, friends and his church family.
The family will receive friends Wednesday March 4, 2026 from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. at Coffey Funeral Home in New Tazewell with funeral service at 7:00 P.M. in the Coffey Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside service will be Thursday March 5, 2026at 11 am in the Riverview Cemetery.
