Franklin D. Holt

Frank D. Holt, age 75, of Thorn Hill, TN was born February 4, 1938. He departed this life August 16, 2013 at his home surrounded by his family. He was saved at Cedar Springs Missionary Baptist Church at age 26, and later moved his membership to Oak Hill Missionary Baptist Church, where he remained a faithful member until death. He was preceded in death by his daughter-in-law, Lorraine Holt; parents, Seth and Cora Holt; 7 brothers, Burley, Hubert, Robert, Elmer, E.J., Everette and Edward Holt; brother-in-law, Donald Bowlin; and 5 sisters-in-law. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Hattie Holt; son and daughter-in-law, Rev. Frankie (Susie) Holt and son, Danny Holt; grandsons, Adam Holt, Eric (Angie) Holt and Cody Holt; 1 great grandson, Eli Holt all of Thorn Hill, TN; brothers, L.C. (Dorothy) Holt of Franklin, Ohio, and Ray Holt of Morristown, TN; brother-in-law, Tommy (Faye) Bowlin of Bean Station, TN; sister-in-law, Bonnie (Bill) Singleton of Thorn Hill, TN and 2 sisters-in-law, Daisy Holt and Doris Ann Oaten; and a host of other relatives and friends. He was loved very much and loved everyone. The family will receive friends from 5-9pm Sunday, August 18, 2013 at Coffey Funeral Home in New Tazewell, TN. Funeral service at 11:00AM Monday, August 19, 2013, at Oak Hill Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Darrell Hensley, Rev. Arnold Dalton and Rev. Bob Davis officiating. Singers: Reed Family. Burial to follow in the Holt Family Cemetery with Adam Holt, Eric Holt, Cody Hholt, Earl Holt, Doug Holt and Terry Bowling serving as pallbearers.
