Wayne worked as a reserve officer for the Claiborne County Sheriff's Department for several years. In 2002, Wayne began his service in the Army, lasting seven years, ending his time as a Sergeant. After separating from the Military, Wayne worked as a security officer at Claiborne Medical Center for many years as well as volunteering his time with the Tazewell-New Tazewell Fire Department. Once retired, Wayne enjoyed spending time outdoors- fishing, camping, hunting, anything hands on. He was an avid UT Vols fan and also enjoyed watching hockey and NASCAR racing.
Wayne was preceded in death by his father, Garland Wayne Osborne Sr.; brother, Garland Ernest Osborne; maternal grandfather, Bircham "Burt" Bush; and maternal grandmother, Elizabeth "Betty" Bush.
Wayne is survived by his daughter, Chayenne Olivia Osborne; mother, Pat Osborne; sisters, Lisa (Jerry) Lamb, Brandi Osborne, Silyn Osborne; brothers, Gary Ruszkowski and many other friends he considered brothers; nephews, Devin Duncan, Justin Lamb, and Joshua Lamb; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends Friday, September 12th, 2025, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Coffey Funeral Home in New Tazewell. Burial will be announced during services.
