Jewell Bell Johnson

Jewell Johnson age 82 of Sneedville, TN went to be with the Lord Saturday April 19, 2014 at Morristown Hamblen Hospital with her loving family and friends at her bed side. She professed faith in Christ at an early age at Paw Paw Missionary Baptist Church. She later moved her membership to Providence Missionary Baptist Church where she remained a faithful member until death. She loved her church. She always talked about her church and salvation. She wanted everyone to be saved. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Lenn Johnson; and the love of her life, daughter Glenda Johnson; her mother, Myrtle Seals and father Tyler Seals; step-father, Hoard Seal; nieces, Carolyn and Christen Fleener; sister, Barbara; brothers-in-law, Guy Trent, Wayne Roberts and several other in-laws..

She is survived by her Sisters: Juanita Hayes and Jeanette and husband Austin McCoy.

A shining light in our community has gone out. A star in Heaven has gotten brighter. She always wanted everyone to be saved. She enjoyed telling of her salvation at PawPaw Church. God needed a new voice in the choir with the angels and he chose the best when he called her home.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5 until 9 P.M. at Coffey Funeral Home in Tazewell; Wednesday from 5 until 9 P.M. at Providence Missionary Baptist Church.

Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday April 24, 2014 at Providence Missionary Baptist Church. Burial in the Johnson Cemetery.
