Judith R Frederick

Judith Ruth Frederick, 83, of Jasper, GA, passed away on April 3, 2026 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on August 1, 1942, Judy lived a life marked by kindness, laughter, and deep familial bonds.

A strong and resilient woman, Judy faced life’s challenges with grace and determination, always putting others before herself. Judy's life was filled with joyous moments, often accompanied by the strums of her guitar and her melodious singing, which were integral parts of family gatherings and her church activities. Her hobbies included knitting, reading, solving crossword puzzles, and watching her favorite shows like Westerns, Little House on the Prairie, and Hallmark movies.

Judy was a devoted mother to Donna Johnson (Joel), Tammy Phillips (Scott), and Judy Ann Owens (Tim). Her guidance and unconditional love shaped not just her daughters but also touched her grandchildren Crystal Reichle (Jason), Christopher Phillips, AJ Throesch, Amanda Throesch, Nathaniel Owens (Amanda), and Kendra Phillips, as well as her great-grandchildren Melanie, Logan, Zachary, Simone, Rosie, Marcelline, Johnathan, Annabelle, Miles, Gianna, and Kaylynn.

She leaves behind her siblings Thelma Atkins, Ruby Nicely, Joe Coffey, Ann Jahnke (Chuck), Ronnie Coffey, Eva Coffey, and Steve Coffey (Betty). Judy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ermal Frederick; her parents, Colby Amos Coffey and Tressie Faun Coffey; her sister, Joan Coffey; and her brother, Danny Coffey.

Family and Friends viewing will be held on Sunday, April 5th from 5:00pm - 7:00pm at the Coffey Funeral Home, 937 N Broad St, New Tazewell, TN 37825. The funeral service will immediately follow the viewing at 7:00pm. The cemetery service will be Monday, April 6th at 1:00 pm at the McGinnis Harrell Cemetery.
