Lillian Edna McAfee Venable

April 6, 1928 - April 3, 2026

Lillie age 97 of Tazewell, TN. entered this life April 6, 1928 departed to her eternal home on April 3, 2026 at her home with her loving family and friends by her side.

Lillie often gave her testimony of accepting the Lord as her saviour at the age of 10 years, during a revival at Liberty Baptist Church. She joined Liberty Baptist Church and was baptized on January 20, 1939. She remained a member at Liberty Baptist Church until joining Little Sycamore Missionary Baptist Church in May of 1951. She remained a faithful member as long as her health allowed.

Lillie leaves behind daughters - Jo-Ann Bunch, Mary Lou Mallicoat. Grandchildren- Charles Tipton Bunch, Jo-Anna Lillian and Rev. Mitch Burke. Her precious Great Grandchildren- Lily Faith Burke and Noah Mitchell Burke who she loved dearly. They were the light of her life. Sister- Betty Duncan. Sister-in-law Juanita Venable. Special nieces and nephews.

Lillie was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband Tip Venable of 72 years. Parents Rev. David Edward and Angie Dotson McAfee. Father and mother-in-law Tilmon and Lura Venable. Son-in-law Rev. David Mallicoat. Brother and sister-in-law Jay and Jo-Ann McAfee. Sister and brother-in-law Mary Alice and Hubert Venable.

Lillie also leaves behind her church family and dear friends and family who she prayed for and loved dearly.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Campbell Cemetery on Little Sycamore Rd. c/o Jo-Ann V. Bunch 1934 Grubb St. Tazewell, TN 37879.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday April 7, 2026 from 6 until 8 PM at Coffey Funeral Home. The funeral service will be on Wednesday at 11 AM in the Coffey Funeral Home chapel. A graveside service will follow in the Campbell Cemetery on Little Sycamore.
