Susan Morrisette

Susan retired from the medical field where she spent many years taking care of people and loved being someone they could rely on. She was baptized in 1979 at Cedar Flat Missionary Baptist Church and was a member there until her passing. Susan was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend and will be missed by everyone who knew her.

She is survived by her son Marty Allen Godsey and his significant other Karen Garlitz. Grandchildren Samantha Jo Godsey, Allison Summer Godsey, Noah Patrick Godsey, Micah Allen Godsey, and Mariah Lee Godsey. Several great grandchildren. Sisters Diane Mabe and Jeanette Holt Noe and husband Mike. Brothers Johnny Holt and his significant other Linda Snow and twin brother Jimmy Dean Holt and wife Tracy. Special friends Kathy Ausmus, Pat Marshall, Becky Henegar, Dr. Jessica Warren. As well as a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Susan is preceded in death by her daughter Jackie Nichole Releford. Parents Wright and Blanche Holt. Grandparents Buddy and Leatha Scarbrough, Harvey and Julie Holt. Brothers Wendell Holt and Charles 'Charlie' Holt. Nieces Karen Marie Kinsler and Jessica Shannon Medrano. Brother-in-law Rev. J.C. Mabe.

A graveside service for Susan will be held Saturday, August 30, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Hamblen Memory Gardens & Mausoleum, 5421 E Andrew Johnson Hwy, Morristown, TN 37814.
