Wanda Elizabeth Cooper

Wanda was saved at an early age. She always loved being in church and listening to gospel music. She loved tending to her flowers. Wanda was a wonderful mother and grandmother, and that was her greatest joy.

Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, Aaron and Minnie Holt; 11 siblings with her being the last; and her husband, Ben Cooper.

Wanda is survived by her sons, John (Mary) Shipley and Hanz (Sarah Shelton) Cooper; eight grandchildren; a host of great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family would like to thank Tri-State Health and Rehab for their love and care during their time with Wanda.

The family will receive friends on Monday, January 19. 2026 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Coffey Funeral Home in New Tazewell. Funeral to follow at 8:00 PM. There will be a graveside service at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, in the Farmers Grove Church Cemetery at 133 Farmers Grove Ln, Clinton, TN 37716. The family asks that anyone going to the cemetery meet at the cemetery.
