William Ray Ward

He was preceded in death by his parents Wylie and Oma Ward, and his brothers Edward Ward, Joe Ward and sister Myrtle Breeding.

He is survived by his niece and caregiver Rita Manning, special great niece and caregiver Rena Gilbert. He is also survived by niece Sheila (Dave) Cobb, nephews Mike Ward and Danny Ward. As well as several great nieces and nephews.

Bill was a proud veteran and served his country in the Korean Conflict. Following his service he worked for General Motors in Pontiac Michigan. He retired after 30 years and returned to his home in Tennessee.

Bill enjoyed nice cars, but his favorite was "Pontiacs". He also liked to travel and occasionally go to the horse races.

The family would like to give special thanks to the staff of Claiborne Health and Rehabilitation Center for their excellent care of Uncle Bill.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday May 5, 2026 from 1 until 2 PM at Coffey Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 2:30 PM in Irish Memorial Gardens with Military Honors.
