

Dr. Charlotte K. Frank Ph.D. It is with deep and profound sadness that we share that Dr. Charlotte K Frank, devoted wife, caring mother, loving grandmother, dear friend, accomplished educator, cherished colleague and dogged advocate for students, teachers and administrators, died peacefully in her sleep last Thursday night May 26, 2022.
Charlotte will be terribly missed by her husband, Marvin Leffler, her children Harley, Anne and Matthew – and their spouses Dori, Michael and Lisa, Grandchildren Sarah (Jesse), Becky (Jay), Simon, Andrew, Emma (Adrian), Harrison, and Howard, Samantha, Sherry, Gillian and numerous nephews, nieces and friends. She was predeceased by her first husband Sidney and her brother Louis and sister Lola. Charlotte led a full and active professional life encompassing two significant careers. She committed 25 years to the NYC Board of Education – culminating with 9 years working in a leadership capacity as Executive Director of the Division of Curriculum and Instruction for the NYC Board of Education. She followed this extraordinary experience in working over 25 years with leadership at McGraw Hill as Senior Advisor, Research and Development for McGraw Hill Education.
Being honored with more than 75 awards, Charlotte was committed to causes related to education and Israel and her many board appointments included: CSA, ADL, American Israel Friendship, Hunter College, City College Alumni Association, ORT and Town Hall.
