I just recently learned of the passing of  Cynthia.  I worked with her as a public relations associate at Philip Morris International during the late 70s. Together, and with John Urbain, we published the “Phillip Morris Mini Guide to New York “which we distributed to all visiting Philip Morris affiliates upon their arrival to New York .
From the opening of the Jasper Johns exhibit to Kennedy Center events to travels around to all of our PMI affiliates, Cynthia was indeed gracious and understanding and patient with this young fledgling intern from Maine.
She took me under her wing and showed me the ropes in the big Apple. 
I spent time visiting her family in Connecticut  and truly felt like part of her family.
Although we lost touch after I left Philip Morris and moved to California, 
I oftentimes  reminisce about our good times together. 
I  send my very belated heartfelt condolences to the family.

Dear Richard, so sorry to know that Cynthia passed away... We had last meeting with her  five years ago in New York and was planning to see each other again but we've lost communication with her... Now I just discover on New York Times that she died two years ago.
Please accept our condolences... We will always remember your hospitality and kindness.

Cindy & I were fellow students of Alan Mast (professor of history of architecture), fellow researchers for Prof. Leo Jakobson (urban planning), and good friends for 50 years.  I'll miss her.

Just read of Cynthia's passing in the Stuttering Foundation magazine. We are heartbroken and so sorry not to have visited with you two during her battle with cancer.She was an incredible friend and human being and we all are better for having known her.Sending you and the family our deep condolences.

Cynthia was a good friend through many ups and downs at Philip Morris and afterwards. She was always ready to help and in any way she could.

She will be missed but not forgotten.

Cynthia touched the hearts of people all over the world - both in the US and Europe.    We send loving sympathy to her entire extended family and wish them comfort in a myriad of treasured memories. Riposa in pace, dear friend.
