I am so sorry for your loss of David. It is evident through the video how loved he was and how much love he gave in return. I hope you have the strength to survive this terrible loss. He is gone way too soon.

Dear Gordon Family,
   My name is Barbara Morris. I just happened to be browsing the Riverside Memorial Chapel site and I saw the notice of your brother David Mark's passing. David's youthful presence in  his photograph beckoned me to watch all about David's life on the video that was  presented at the memorial service for him. To say the very least I became riveted from the very start to what I was hearing and seeing. What a tzadik, what a one-of-a kind in his generation he was. 
   When one of David's minions of friends got up to speak, who was Ranon Balter, it occurred to me that because I taught Ranon at Ramaz Lower School, David probably was one of my students as well. I was the assistant teacher in Mrs. Eleanor Shaw's 4th grade classroom when I graduated from Stern College. And from what I learned from the video, David attended Riverdale Country School, where I worked after Ramaz, for many years. Tony Berkman, a dear friend of David's who spoke at David's memorial service,  was a parent of my RCS students Brendan and Jenna while I was at RCS.
  I am sending my sincerest condolences to you all, David's family. You have been blessed that David IS your brother just as David IS blessed that you are his family.

My memories of David all include his smile and humor that he shared so freely.  His humanity, humility, kindness and openness helped me in so many ways. He will be greatly missed.

David was an old family friend of ours. Our Mothers were childhood friends and our families were close growing up and often referred to each other as cousins.  My sister and I have fond memories of us at the Gordon's homes in NYC and Connecticut.  Although I've not seen David or his siblings for many years, I am deeply saddened to hear of his death.  My deepest sympathies go out to his Father, Phil, Sister Alyse, and Brother Alexander.

I will always think of him as the nicest, most handsome man ever to grace the halls of AA. I admired him from afar. In a meeting filled with stars, his was one of the brightest!!!
I'm sure he now holds that same position in the Heavens!

Dear Phil, Alex, Alysse, Nikki and Elexa,
We are so sorry about David's untimely passing.  We have so many memories - of babysitting for little David, wrestling on the floor of your home on W. 71st Street, watching him walk down the aisle at our wedding as ring bearer with Alex and Alysse as flower girl, of Pesach at our home in Phoenix... The memories shared at the memorial were so poignant...and we too will carry David's big grin and kindness into the world in his memory.

I knew David for a long time, though not well.  What I do know is that he was one of the kindest and most warm-hearted people I've met.

Dear Cousin, may you rest in peace. Taken way so soon

Memories of David at our yearly cousins reunion are very sweet.
Sitting at the table with him, we talked of what is and what's to come.
He had such kindness and love in his eyes as we talked, as if we had
just spoken yesterday, although a year had past. I'll always remember
his warmth and sweet smile.

Dear Alex,   We  had  so  enjoyed  closer  relations  with our  cousins  David  and  Alex  when you were   helping  to  develop  the  West  Side. 
How  warm,   graceful   and  generous    you  had  managed   the  difficult  beginings   of  a  pub,k  brewery  ,  resturant.  
You  made  us  feel  so  special.  
As   the  years  flew  by  you  and  David   and  family  remained  quite  special  in  our  hearts.
We remember  our  last  visit  with  you  at  the  yearly  cousins  reunion   seeing  you  all

I am so sorry to hear of David's passing. I have fond memories of him, playing football, laughing at a Steve Martin album, we ate too much every Thanksgiving.
