Dr. Douglas Rosenman passed away unexpectedly at his home in Warren, Vermont on Saturday, October 1st. He was seventy-eight years old. He is survived by his wife, Christopher Rosenman; his daughter, Hilary Koyfman (née Rosenman) and her husband Mo Koyfman; his sons, Timothy Rosenman and his wife, Whitney Port Rosenman, and Alexis Graham; his stepson, Carey Bryant; his grandchildren, Ruby Koyfman, Lila Koyfman, and Sonny Rosenman; his step grandchild, Zachary Bryant; his sister, Karen Edds (née Rosenman); and his brother, Joel Rosenman. He was preceded in death by his mother, Grace Rosenman, and his father, Dr. Bernard Rosenman.
Douglas was born on January 1st, 1944 in Huntington, Long Island to Dr. Bernard Rosenman and Mrs. Grace Rosenman (née Lipschitz). He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1965 with a Bachelor of Arts in English and from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in 1969 with a Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry. He then served his country in the Air Force as an officer at Fairchild Air Force Base in Spokane, Washington for a two-year tour of duty.
Douglas was a sought-after dentist in private practice in Manhattan for nearly 40 years. He was a gifted athlete with a wicked sense of humor. Above all else, Douglas was a kind, compassionate, sensitive, family man. His warmth and wit will be missed by the many who loved him dearly.
A funeral service for Douglas Rosenman will be held on Thursday, October 6, 2022 at 2:30PM EDT at Riverside Memorial Chapel, 180 W 76th St, New York, New York 10023. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Douglas Rosenman’s life well lived. The service will be also be livestreamed for those who cannot attend in person.
Shiva will be observed after the funeral through Sunday, October 9th at the home of Hilary and Mo Koyfman in Pound Ridge, New York.
