Eva Marie Barch McDonald, April 2, 1981 - February 17, 2013. Loving wife and mother to husband John and sons, John Patrick Jr. and Thomas Douglas McDonald of New York City. Eva is survived by her parents, Douglas and Elaine Fantaske Barch of State College, PA, brothers, Alexander of Delaware, and Garrett of State College, grandmothers, Betty Fantaske and Margaret Barch both of Pittsburgh, PA and numerous aunts, uncles, great-aunts, great-uncles and cousins.
Eva graduated in 1999 from North Allegheny High School in Pittsburgh, PA and earned a BS in Finance from Marymount Manhattan College in 2003. She worked for the Doe Fund in New York City until the birth of her first child.
Eva liked to cook for and entertain family and friends in her home in Manhattan. She loved to travel and explore fun and educational sites with her children. Her sense of humor and loving nature were evident to all who knew and loved her and she inspired many with her strength and grace in difficult times.
Caring for her family was her greatest joy.
