I just heard the news from Gray and am so saddened. Harper and I were classmates at PS 59 and I vividly remember her first entering our classroom, filled with kids who had already known each other for years. She quickly fit right in. We bonded on a school bus, on a class trip to a maple tree farm, I believe. She was a lovely soul and I will always remember her as a curious and happy child. Sending peace and love to her family.

Just heard the news from an old classmate of our at PS 59.  While we didn't keep in touch, we have the grade school and middle school connection.  So very sorry to hear this news.  Harper always had this glow and smile about her.

I remember Harper always being in a good mood, happy & smiling.  I cannot ever recall her ever being sad, angry or even stressed out.  I wish that state of mind was the same for me.
She has so many close friends.  Everyone spoke very well of her.  
I always admired her sincere concerned for others.  That is something I learned from her (although, I never realized this until just recently) & try to apply myself even to this day in the work place when dealing with others as well as elsewhere.  We could all learn from the very important examples she set for us.  
What comes to my mind when thinking of Harper's Legacy is that of Daughter, Grand Daughter, Sister, Classmate, Student, High School Graduate, College Graduate, Ohio State University Alumni, Employee, New Yorker, Floridian, Happy, Smiling, Kind, Generous, Considerate and a Friend to All.

Christmas has passed and I have not let a thought of you pass in my day... Your spirit will live on I will be sure of this.  I wish you could read all of these beautiful messages and something tells me you are not far and now you know how loved and admired you were. I miss you my dearest friend for so long and I will talk to you every day from my heart I know we are always connected...always!

Dear Harper, I will always remember our days at OSU. I smile when I recall some of them... teaching you how  to drive, listening to 'Brandy', daily walks to UDF & the summer of watching only 'Fatal Attraction' or 'New Jack City' b/c our cable was disconnected! But I mostly remember your generosity, support and understanding when things got tough & your laugh! You will be greatly missed and my heart goes out to your parents, knowing how close you all were. I had the pleasure of being friends with Harper at Ohio State. She was one of the first New Yorkers I had ever met, so I loved poking fun at her accent, she always gave it right back to me though. She was always fun and in a happy mood, a great conversationalist and I can still hear her laugh. I have a lot of great memories of time spent with her. I had a chance to meet her family briefly one summer and enjoyed that quite a bit. My condolences, thoughts and prayers go out to them. Harper was a great person and she will be missed.

I am truly saddened by the news of Harper's death. I have some fond memories of her. I will alway remember her beautiful smile. To the family, may your heart and soul find peace and comfort during this hard time,

I knew Harper at OSU.  She was always fun to be around, great for conversation on any topic no matter how light or deep, cared about everyone, and just had a ton of glorious soul.  I never met any of her family members but I am deeply sorry for your loss and for the loss of anyone that knew her.
