As newlyweds, they rented a room in a Boarding House in Brighton Beach owned by an elderly woman who they adored. One of their fond memories of that time was on very hot Summer Nights, they slept on the Beach along with their neighbors.
In the early Fifties they moved to the newly built community of Stuyvesant Town in the East Village Section of NYC to raise their family and there developed lifelong friendships in the community
Many residents also got to know Jeanne when she worked at a local Doctors office and later on for Met Life in the Rental and Operations Dept. She retired in 1995
Jeanne embraced being part of the community. She volunteered often where she could for Tenants Association, Local Political Campaigns and received accolades from The Stein Center.
She loved the Theatre, was a member of TDF, The Metropolitan Museum and various cultural groups. She loved to travel. Her favorite City was New Orleans where she visited often.
Jeanne will be remembered as a Loving, Generous, Energetic, Stylish, and Fiery Red Head who embraced Life to the fullest
