 I never had the opportunity to meet John, who seemed bigger than life.  John's appreciation for talent inspired everyone.  I love all the clips of him showing his fondness for his homes, friends, and animals. Life is a blessing, when you have someone like him as a friend. Great sympathy to his family and friends.  I know everyone will miss him.  Bless John for his stellar contribution while he was here!

It is not an exaggeration to say that John Richardson was a giant in the art world. A longtime Board member of our organization, the International Foundation for Art Research (IFAR), starting in 1981, and a member of our Art Advisory Council until his death, we will miss his incredible knowledge, connoisseurship, prodigious memory, and, not least, his joie de vivre. A great loss!
