Jose was a schoolmate at Brooks for 5 years and a classmate for two years.  He was a friend at school and after.
Our paths mingled in other ways, one unknown until now. I was accepted at Union College but a letter was sent to my parents saying that they were not sure I would graduate ( I graduated from Lehigh with a BA, a BSME and a commission in the Army). As a machine design engineer the Thomas Register was a bible to me. And Jose and his family lived in the same apartment building as my grandparents (on the other side though).
Jose and I had a lovely dinner together at the Harvard Club in January 2020 just before COVID closed everything down; we reminisced about our memories at Brooks and life after it. I will miss seeing him at Brooks in the future very much.

Too many memories,  maybe some of them are not for general viewing like our Madeira School caper!  Even thoughI saw Jose rarely in recent years we were good friends from the time we roomed together over 60 years ago at Brooks School. Jose was one of the kindest people I've known and lots of fun in school and when we were away on vacation. He was always very proud of his family, of Malle, and of his parents, children, grandchildren and sister, and of Thomas Publishing.  We both lost our fathers when we needed them in our teens. Sincere condolences to all of Jose's family. He'll be missed by many.

I worked for Thomas Publishing for over two decades, mostly in IT.  As Jose had great enthusiasm for computers and technology, I had the pleasure of working on many projects for him.  During sessions in his office, Jose would always inquire about my family, my interests and even my dog!  We had many a great chat.  He was truly a gentleman and a beautiful, warm human being.  It was a privilege to know him.

My sincere condolences to the Andrade Family.  I worked at Thomas for 32 years and had the pleasure of knowing Jose'.  

Mr. Andrade was a kind and dedicated  man, always soft spoken and a perfect gentlemen. A truly class act.  Rest in Peace Mr .Andrade.  

Jose Andrade was a big part of my  memories of my 27 years at Thomas Publishing.  He was a true gentleman.  My deepest condolences to his family. I know he will be missed.  I for one will miss my many visits with him.

My sincere condolences and respect to Jose's loved ones. A true gentleman and  leader at TPCo. May the warmth of his memory be shared and etched in the company's archives to share with current and future employees, friends, and customers. 

Jose and Malle are our neighbors in Westport and we have had the pleasure of many informal exchanges across the driveway in recent years. Jose was always incredibly polite, warm, witty and wise. We will miss him a lot and will remember especially the many times he made us laugh.

Mr. Andrade left an indelible impression on me for his kindness, generosity and consideration of others - qualities that sadly are rapidly disappearing in today's selfish world.  He was a wonderful human being in so many ways and I know he will be missed greatly by all who knew and worked with him.

Although I only had the pleasure of being his doctor for a little over a year,  I will forever remember him as one of the kindest and most gentle patients I have ever had. I always looked forward to his visits and will greatly miss seeing him.  Dr. Messer

Mr. Andrade was a great person, a gentleman, I had the opportunity to work for him and his company at TIPCO in México. I hope the Lord receives Mr. Andrade in His glory and gives peace and strength to his family.
