Murphy, Kevin J. Kevin J. Murphy of New York, age 64, died on Monday (July 12, 2021) after a brief illness. Kevin was a graduate of Xavierian High School in Brooklyn, NY. Kevin worked as a graphic designer at John Wiley & Sons, Inc. for thirty-three years, retiring in 2010. Kevin was the son of the late Bertha A. Murphy and Jack Murphy of Breezy Point, NY and brother of the late Lorraine Murphy. Survivors include his husband, David S. Smith, his sister Mary Pat and his brother John.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Kevin’s memory can be made to the Central Park Conservancy. Please note that we would like to have donations go to the Adopt-a-bench program in Central Park to place plaque honoring Kevin there.
