Mackinley Jo,
It’s your birthday month, and if I close my eyes, I can get a glimpse of you running on the beach with your beloved dogs. It was one of those carefree days where we sat and shared our love of horses and vinyl records! You effortlessly played and sang a song for us on your guitar.  Your eyes sparkled and the wisps of hair that surrounded your face, just brought your love into my heart.

My Dearest M, today I mentioned the word DIRT and I immediately thought of you and how you used to giggle when I said that word. I remember us playing tennis and going for walks and babysitting and watching TV and playing games.. Lots and lots of games.  As a young lady, you were anything but boring and so smart. I've so missed you kid and often think of you in heaven. You will always be in my thoughts beautiful Mackinley. Love u always.. Liz

We remember meeting you
For the first time; 13 years ago today! We were only 12 weeks old. You gave us part of your Ciabata sandwich. We miss you Mackinley.

Not a day goes by that I don't think about MJ. You were my best friend, sister, and partner in mischief. I miss you so much. <3

She is in our daily prayer, together with her beautiful family.

Dear Laura and Bob, I just found out about Mackinley's passing.  She was a beautiful woman who I will remember forever.  I was a few years ahead of her at Chapin in NYC, and I knew her at East House at McLean hospital.  Two of my dearest friends lost their son.  Seeing their pain over ten years after little Raffi passed away, I have infinite respect for them and anyone who has ever lost a child, for getting up every morning and facing the day with such a burden. I only recently learned of Mackinley's death and I am feeling immense grief and sadness-Jon Bon Jovi came on the radio this morning and it brought me to tears. Mackinley was an amazing young woman and one of the kindest hearts I have ever met. I am grateful to have known her. My deepest sympathies to both of you.
