Manny Grunberg, age 95, of Manhattan, New York, died on March 27, 2022. He was born in Essex, Germany in 1926, and in the face of the rise of the Nazis in Germany fled in 1935 with his family through the mountains of Belgium to Lillie, France and a year later moved to Barcelona, Spain, and then to New York City in 1948.
For more than 70 years, he worked as a jewelry designer in his company that later became M Grunberg Inc., a leading design and manufacturing firm of engagement and wedding rings in New York City. His hobbies were skiing, playing golf, tennis, soccer, and boxing at his early age. He spoke five languages. He was adventurous, considerate, generous, and a great dancer. He was easy to be loved. His wisdom, calm demeanor, love, courage, and perseverance will be remembered forever. He was a man of honor. He is survived by his wife, six children, six grandchildren, and four (soon to be five) great grandchildren.
