We haven't been in touch with Mark for many years since my husband and I moved to Florida.  I recently learned that Mark passed away and felt that I wanted to add something to the many memories that have been shared about Mark by others.
My husband, Herb, and I met Mark in the Hamptons.  We were members of the Bridgehampton Tennis & Surf Club where Mark and Herb became friends and tennis partners.  We enjoyed the summer weekends with Mark who included us in his dinner plans with female friends.  Mark was a good friend to me and Herb, who passed away in July 2022.  My condolences to Mark's family and friends.  He was a special person!

A year since you left us ... yet forever in my heart... I loved you then... I love you still... & I always will ... your are so dearly missed

I was very sad to learn of Mark's passing. I met him in 1982 when I was a summer associate at Willkie Farr & Gallagher ... he flirted with me as I was walking to the office from the subway  (typical Mark!!) and thus began a lovely friendship, with trips to the Hamptons & fun in NYC. Such a charmer, with an  infectious sense of humor.  He always made me laugh. We got back in touch over the years and I remember visiting his office in the early 90's while I was in town from overseas, as well as being in touch online.   He was just a nice person and I often thought of him. I can imagine many friends and family will miss Mark terribly.

It was 1982 when Mark and I Met. He was working at Wofsey, Certilman, Haft and Lebow and came to CT to the office I worked at where we arranged financing for tax shelter investments.  After the meeting he left, promptly returning saying, I left my scarf on purpose so I could talk to you! I'll never forget it.  We became fast, close, friends.  He called me Darling and Doll. I went to his home in Goshen, CT and to 2 of  his Manhattan residences. Rode in his 280Zx and had fun times. He was the most cultered man I've met to this day. We lost touch for many years but reconnect in the early 2000's . He hadn't changed a bit. I don't think I'll ever remove his phone no's from my personal list of friends. We, his friends, family, etal, were damn lucky to have known him. Wish I knew more of what seems to be an abrupt passing. Condolences all the way around.

It will not be the same without Mark’s omnipresence. He and his energy were everywhere.
At a party, he was there and greeted you with warmth. At a religious service in LI he met you after services, with piles of Kosher food in memory of his departed mother. In our temple (Park Ave Syn) he had great seats with a new fiancee each year. Yet it was his energy of positiveness that always was there. The energetic greeting of positiveness to make you feel comfortable was easy for him, for he meant it.When I got him into the Harmonie Club I didn’t realize how comfortable he tried to make it for others, We will all feel the gust of air that now leaves a void in our lives because of Mark's absence--but are grateful and will remember how he made us feel important and wanted.

I worked with Mark many years ago but always remained a friend of his. Mark was bright, interesting and a lot of fun.  I will miss meeting him and reminiscing as well as always catching up. His memory will be a blessing to all who knew  him,

Mark and I dated for a while in NYC. Despite the age difference, he was so young at heart and we cared for eachother deeply. He knew my whole family and relished the antique connection, commercial real estate connection, and even saw the 4th of July from my parent's home on the 31st floor as if the show was being put on for him. Hard to imagine this world without Mark as a shining star and Wai to support him in a multifaceted way. So very sad and I offer my sincerest condolences to his beautiful family

I met Mark 30 years ago at a gym named The Atrium. We struck up a conversation and discovered we were both attorneys with different areas of practice . His was primarily real estate law whereas mine was criminal defense.  We also discovered that we both resided in the same apartment building in Manhattan. As a result we became neighbors and friends. He struck me as being  incredibly bright, with an infectious sense of humor. He also was a kind , thoughtful and caring person.
I always in-vision him wearing a tan colored  overcoat draped over his shoulders rushing off to somewhere in a hurry. I’m sure he will be missed by many. My profound condolences to his family.

My wife, Susan Strickler, and I met Mark while dining at Chez Josephine in Manhattan after a show. Mark and his companion were at the table next to ours and, none of us being introverts (imagine that!), we all got to talking. Over the past perhaps ten years or so we’ve shared any number of good dinners and drinks, and Mark loved hosting us singly or together at the Harmonie Club. We had mutual friends in the legal community and Mark was always a gracious, interesting, entertaining friend. Clearly, too, a sharp and deeply experienced “dirt lawyer” and professional.
I write this from Argentina having just received word of Mark’s passing from his office moments ago. 
We are so saddened by his death and will miss him. A character to be sure, but with that word used as both accurate but a real compliment!
To our friend of too few years, rest  in peace (and still enjoy a good cigar and a cocktail now and again!). Richard and Susan

I will miss seeing Mark in his corner seat at the bar at the Harmonie Club, always reading the Wall Street Journal even though it was already the end of the day. Our conversations were always about “the market” as in real estate, and then about The Hamptons and our love for old cars and our shared mechanic Vito. 
Always a pleasure. I’m sorry he’s gone.

The well-named Lloyd Simon set a precedent for a second comment, which I now follow.  I just had occasion to review our last email correspondence and am sensing a pang.  On last Christmas Eve, Mark wrote: "Sitting here listening to bachs Christmas oratorio, thinking of our great times!  Let me have a phone no and we talk next week?"  I emailed back my number,  but we didn't speak.  And won't.  Oh, Mark! I weep with regret.  I didn't know you were in your last days.  Did you?

If someone reading this knows the facts of Mark's life's end and would be willing to share same, I'd be most appreciative.

I had gotten to know Mark only within the past few years and regret not knowing him earlier in our lives. Smart, funny, appreciative and always a gentleman. Rest in peace.

Mark was my roommate in college and we shared an apartment when we both came to NYC for law school. We always went to concerts at Carnegie Hall in seats that we could afford. He was visiting me in Virginia when my daughter, Laren, was born 53 years ago. We kept in touch sporadically when I moved to Maine.  He was a unique individual.

Mark was my high school classmate and close friend. One of my roommates for a while in the City.  It was he who renamed me "Schloyd" so that I would fit in whenever he escorted me into the Jewish world.   An enormous, witty personality.  He came to look quite like his father.  I'm unable to attend his funeral because I'm singing the same day in the chorus of a concert performance of Verdi's Requiem Mass--a mass for the dead!  Is that just a coincidence?  Or has the performance acquired extra meaning for me?  Anyway, I and our remaining high school classmates, with whom he stayed faithfully in touch, will miss Mark.  I'm sorry to have to pass up a chance to see Mark's brothers at the funeral and offer my condolences personally.  My best to them.

If anyone can find an episode of the Maury Povich show we would all laugh in honor of Mark’s persuasive abilities to convince me to go on the show with him to defend his reputation. I am laughing and crying at the same  time thinking of Mark. Heaven , get ready !

This is my second comment! How could I not share that for the last 4 or 5 years, until Nicole and I moved out of NYC full-time to Southampton during the Pandemic to work remotely, Mark and I went together to every CLE classes for lawyers but only "unique Mark", found every free CLE class, but not only free, but including a breakfast or a lunch! 
Who would think CLE classes could be so much fun. And as we sat in class, Mark would read The New York Times AND the Wall Street Journal cover to cover (we always sat in the back of the room for obvious reasons!) Now what do I do for CLE classes??? HELP, Mark I need you back!

You were my friend with the most interesting and unique personality and we shared many good times together, drinks, dinners, a boat ride in Montauk with Bill's son. Even our adventure with the Shopping Center Tax Shelter! LOL! Always a good and fun time! You will be deeply missed my friend!! Everyone in Heaven, Here comes Mark!

I met Mark 44 years ago at work and since then never spent a moment with him where he couldn’t find humor in the situation. Mark was incredibly smart and had a fabulous sense of humor. He was a loyal friend and will be missed sorely. Goodbye my friend. You will be missed especially this Passover when the matzah does not arrive. We had lots of laughs……..

I knew Mark from the Harmonie Club where he was a stalwart member. Constantly reading his newspapers, he was such a thoughtful person and I could always engage in intelligent conversation with him. I will miss that and send my sincerest condolences to his family. May his memory be a blessing.
