R.S.W., will remain a distinct person who helped me to secure a  Post Graduate Residency position at today's Brigham &  Woman's Harvard Program. My Surgical Residency at ST.LUKE'S  will always be held as a milestone for learning, teaching & clinical leadership. Dr. Neuwirth sought me out and personally helped me find the best seat in my native Boston. Philanthropy has many players; their currency comes in many forms. Bob is what legacies made of.  His life definitely continues in the acts of those he touched.

I am Phyllis Benjamin and am shocked to learn of my cousin, Bobbie's death! On behalf of my brother, Marty Merado, and sister, Susan Marcus, I want to express our condolences to Gloria and his beautiful family. We grew up together, our mothers were close, and 
I regret that we have not been in contact for many years,

Dr. Neuwirth was always respectful and supportive when I worked in his OBGYN dept x 7 yrs as a nurse-midwife. He clearly represented a positive role model in my career as I moved on to pursue OBGYN in medicine. Please accept my condolences.

I talked with Dr. Neuwirth almost every day on the phone and got to know him quite well. Our conversations were a good learning experience for me. I'll miss them. My sincere condolences to his family.

I am writing on behalf of trainees of St Luke's Roosevelt OB/GYN. Dr Neuwirth was well respected and well loved. We will always remember the lessons he taught us during the weekly "Neuwirth rounds." We are sending our prayers to the family and loved ones.

I was very sad to learn of Dr. Neuwirth's death. I saw him last as a patient in June of this year and he was in good spirits as always. I was a patient of his for about 20 years, after I heard him lecture and then had my first consultation with him. We even appeared together on TV in a short segment about how to live with fibroids.  My husband and I have always had the greatest respect for him. My heartfelt condolences to you, his family, and the wish that you will derive comfort from the many happy times you shared.
