Born in New York City in 1946, Scott moved with his family to St. Albans, Queens as a child. After serving in the U.S. Army in Vietnam, Scott returned to New York, working at AT&T, Lucent Technologies, and Avaya Communications.
During his retirement, Scott was able to pursue his interests, especially fly-fishing. He enjoyed a second act as a fly-fishing guide, earning his guiding license and helping people learn and love the sport as much as he did. He especially liked engaging with his fellow military veterans and teaching them to fish and tie flies.
The most important thing in his life was his family, and he was a constant presence in their lives.
Scott was predeceased by his parents, Sam and Mary, and a brother. He is survived by his wife, Sandy, and a daughter, Jessie, as well as a sister and two brothers.
A Funeral will be held at Riverside Memorial Chapel, 180 West 76th Street, New York, NY 10023, US, on May 20, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm.
